Adam D. Mortenson 23, town of Easton, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006 from injuries sustained in a traffic accident. He was born August 2, 1982 in Wausau, son of Clark and Barbara (Malitz) Mortenson. He was currently employed with Best-1 Plumbing and Heating Inc., Schofield. Among his many interests, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, paintball, snowmobiling, riding ATV's, working on cars and achieved a black belt in karate. Survivors include, his parents, Clark and Barb Mortenson, town of Hewitt; two brothers, Jason (Kimberly) Mortenson, Rothschild and Jesse (Angela) Mortenson, Mosinee; one nephew, Justis Mortenson; one niece, Brooklyn Mortenson; his paternal grandmother, Ruth Mortenson, Glenco, Minn.; his great aunt, Sally Drews, Wittenberg; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends further survive. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Louis Mortenson; his maternal grandparents, Carl and Frances Malitz; and his foster grandparents, Ralph and Irene Grosskopf. Funeral services will be Noon, Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Bethany Lutheran Church, town of Easton. Rev. Tabitha Gallatin will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
