William E. Swanson

William E. Swanson, 66, Wausau, died Sunday, October 26, 2008. He was born March 21, 1942 in Michigan, son of the late Evar and Mary (Brighenti) Swanson. William was a proud military veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #251, Wausau and the Men of Honor Society. He was a past member of the VFW. William enjoyed spending time with his family especially the grandchildren. Survivors include twin sons, John (Sunshine Thomas) and James (Bobbie Jo Swanson); three grandchildren, Zachary, Landon, and Alyssa Swanson, all of Wausau; one brother, Daniel Swanson, Green Bay; a godchild, Melissa; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Ellen. A Celebration of Williams life will be held Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the Eagles Club, 1703 S. 3rd. Ave., Wausau.
