Ronald Reich

January 25, 1941 — September 10, 2011

Ronald "Butch" D. Reich, 70, Weston, passed away peacefully with his wife, son and family at his side on Saturday, September 10, 2011 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. He was born January 25, 1941 in Wausau, son of the late Clifford and Margaret (Jaecks) Reich. On June 13, 1970, he married Ann C. Wenzel at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives. Butch was a veteran of the United States Army, stationed in Ansbach, Germany. He was a member of the American Legion Roy Drew Post No. 492, Rothschild. For 36 years, Butch worked for Federal Mogul, Schofield until his retirement. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, fishing, hunting, playing cards and was an avid Nascar fan, Green Bay Packers fan and Milwaukee Brewers fan. Survivors include, his wife, Ann Reich, Weston; his son, Mark Reich, Weston; one sister, Sharlene "Sharry" (Robert) Wells, Bartlesville, Okla.; two brothers, Gary (special friend Lucy) Reich, Mole Lake and Rick (Lynn) Reich, Kronenwetter; two sisters-in-law, Joan (Jerry) Anklam, Wausau and Marie (Ronald) Juedes, Ringle; one aunt, Betty Plautz, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. John Robert Alphonse will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau with military honors conducted by the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post No. 10, Wausau. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Aspirus Dialysis Center. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Butch's doctors, the staff at Aspirus Dialysis Center and the staff at Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services for all the wonderful care and support given to Butch throughout his illness.
