Patricia J. Groshek

Patricia J. Groshek, 88, Wausau, died Thursday March 19, 2020, at Benedictine Living Community.

She was born April 23, 1931, in New London, daughter of the late Sylvester and Grace (Herter) Buskirk.  On July 7, 1951, she married Leonard “Len” Groshek in Lebanon, Wisconsin.  He preceded her in death March 28, 1993.

Prior to her retirement, Pat had been employed as a Registered Nurse with the Marathon County Health Care Center.  She was a longtime active member at St. Anne Catholic Church, Wausau, having served in several different ministries, most recently, sending birthday cards to church members.  In the past, she enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and spending time with her family at the cottage.  Pat was an avid supporter and was the number one fan of the Milwaukee Brewers!

Survivors include four sons, Michael, Steve (Mary), Randy and David Groshek, all of Wausau, five grandchildren, one sister, Joan Fleischer, Appleton.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy.

Private family graveside services will be held at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Mosinee.  A complete obituary will be published at a later date to announce the time of a Memorial Mass that will be celebrated at St. Anne Catholic Church.
