Mary Elizabeth (Britten) Donohoe, 56, formerly of Wausau died Friday, May 14, 2010 at Morningside House in Laurel, MD. She was born August 13, 1953 in Wausau, daughter of Alice (Kimball) Britten of Wausau and the late Norbert Britten. She was the wife of Mike Donohoe for over 25 years. Mary was born and raised in Wausau. She graduated from Newman High School, Wausau and the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. She lived in Illinois for a time and has lived in Laurel, MD since 1986. She was a member of St. Mary of the Mills in Laurel, MD and also NAPM (a professional association). She was employed by Eaton Aerospace as a purchasing agent since 1987. Some of her favorite pastimes included traveling, gardening, cooking, and sewing. When she was younger she often enjoyed making her own clothing. Survivors include her husband, Michael Donohoe, Laurel, MD, her mother, Alice Britten, Wausau, two sisters; Barbara Britten, Wausau, and Therese (James) Muus, Siren and nieces Emily and Britteny Muus both of Siren. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon Friday, May 21, 2010 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again of Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Mercy Health Foundation, 301 St. Paul Place, Baltimore, MD 21202.
