Marianne Bugni

Marianne Bugni 89, Wausau, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 27, 1921 in Pence, WI, daughter of the late Peter and Catherine (Biondi) Celli. Marianne married James Bugni in Hurley. He preceded her in death in 1962. Marianne continued to raise her family while becoming an owner/operator of a beauty salon located in Hurley. She was an accomplished seamstress and made many of her own children's clothing, Her favorite pastimes were cooking, knitting and playing golf. Survivors include her five children James (Eileen) Bugni, Green Bay; Dean (Sheila) Bugni, Spooner; Don Bugni, Santa Clara, New Mexico; Peter (Diane) Bugni, Eagle River and Sandra (Gordon) Popko, Wausau; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is further survived by one sister Jeanne (Milt) Pietz, Scottsdale, AZ and one brother Mark Celli, Rhinelander; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one daughter, Suzanne. A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
