Lucille M. Gutowski

Lucille "Lucy" M. Gutowski 92, Wausau, loving mother to Linda and Karen and loving grandmother to Heidi, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2013 at North Central Health Care, Wausau. She was born March 6, 1920 in Wausau, daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (Tetzlaff) Sorges. On November 15, 1947, she married Franklin R. Gutowski in Wausau. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1996. Lucille was a homemaker and among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed bowling, traveling and making jams and jellies. She was a member of United Commercial Travelers, the Wausau Elks Club, a 4-H Leader and enjoyed bingo, whether working or playing. Survivors include, two daughters, Linda Gutowski, Wausau and Karen (Brian) Kastner, Mosinee; one granddaughter, Heidi (Nathan) Jackson, Green Bay; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Franklin, she was preceded in death by one sister, Dottie (Max) Weiss; three brothers, Arnold Sorges, Lawrence (Elsie) Sorges and Edward (Gertrude) Sorges; and her dog "Kato". The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at The Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. Timothy Welles will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
