Kenneth C. Feldmann

February 25, 1947 — June 26, 2005

Kenneth C. Feldmann, 58, Kronenwetter, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 26, 2005 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was surrounded by the people he loved most. Ken was born February 25, 1947 in Antigo, son of the late Walter and Adeline (Auclaire) Feldmann. He attended Newman High School and graduated in 1965. Shortly thereafter, he joined the Air Force and proudly served his country from 1969-1973 in the Vietnam War. On October 2, 1970, he married Sharon Woldt. They began their life in Las Vegas, NV where Ken began his banking career at Aetna Finance. During this time, he began his education at UNLV. Shortly thereafter, they moved back to Wisconsin where he worked at First American Bank from 1974-1977. In October 1977, Ken began his long career at Peoples State Bank, where he was privileged to work with some of Wausau's finest bankers, management team, board members and associates. He had a great love for his job and the many clients he called "friends". He was a devoted banker who always went the extra mile for his client. Ken was a banker that didn't know the meaning of "banker's hours". At the time of his death, he was a Vice President in the bank and a commercial loan officer. Ken attended Northcentral Technical College earning an Associate's degree in finance and banking. He also taught banking classes at NTC for many years. The students he taught will always have a smile when they think of him and the fun classes he taught. Ken was a past board member of Indianhead golf course, American Institute of Banking, and United Cerebral Palsey, where he also acted as the Master of Ceremonies for their annual telethon. He was also a past member of the Wausau Area Jaycees and the Valley Beach and Tennis Motorcycle Club. At the time of his death, he was on the board for Wausau Area Girls Softball (WAGSA), first getting involved with his daughter's softball team that he coached for 10 years. He was an elder in the Lay Ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church, a board member for Crime Stoppers, Habitat for Humanity, Wausau Area Builders Association, River Valley Chapter-Whitetails Unlimited, a member of the Elks Club, and a 13 year volunteer at the Wausau Area Catholic Schools Auction. He is survived by his wife, Sharon. He was a loving and devoted father to his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Adam Zynda. He will always be "papa" to Tate, age 6 and Olivia, age 2 who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his brothers, Roger (Kris) Feldmann of Mosinee, John (Sandy) Feldmann of Rothschild, his sister Christine (Peter) Hacker of Kauai, Hawaii. Ken was an avid Packer and NASCAR fan, never missing a Sunday Football game or NASCAR race. When the opportunity arose, he would attend the Daytona 500, Bristol, or Kansas City race with his good friends Bob or Joe. Ken was an inspiration to many people and touched the lives of so many others, he will be deeply missed by all.
