John H. Coleman Jr

John H. Coleman Jr. 76, Wausau died Monday, July 19, 2010 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at North Central Health Care, Wausau. He was born April 18, 1934 in Chicago, son of the late John H. and Marie (Muleen) Coleman Sr. On September 5, 1959 he married Jean Ann Schmidt at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton. She survives. John retired from Mosinee Papers after 18 years. He also worked at J.I. Case, was a fireman for the city of Neenah and was a volunteer fireman for Mosinee. Some of his interest included singing, reading and watching westerns. John proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Jean Ann Coleman, Wausau, his children, John (Helen) Coleman III, Newport News, Virginia, Pete (Gina) Coleman, Birnamwood, Paul (Debi) Coleman, Marshfield, Andrew (Kim) Coleman, Wausau, Mary (Roger) Stankowski, Marathon, Anne (Dennis) Drow, Wausau and Rachel (Doug) Werner, Merrill along with several grand and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. John is further survived by his siblings, George (Jan) Coleman, Sussex, Dennis (Barb) Coleman, Neenah, Mike Coleman, Neenah and Patricia Mueller, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to the family.
