James Heisler Jr

James "Jim" H. Heisler Jr. 53, Las Vegas, formerly of Wausau, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in Springfield, Ohio. He was born September 29, 1958 in Wausau, the son of Katherine (Pieshalla) Heisler of Las Vegas and the late James Heisler Sr. Jim was an avid sports enthusiast, both as a participant and supporter. He was a devoted fan of the Wisconsin Badger football team and loved to participate in both golf tournaments and triathlon events, in which he had won many awards. Jim had a "dream come true" by participating in the 1996 Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon World Championship. Jim lived a lifestyle that embodied not just athleticism, but a basic compassion for humanity as a whole. Through his actions he inspired many to focus upon a healthy lifestyle; and as such, was chosen as the 1996 Athlete of the Year by Wisconsin's Lifestyle Sports . For the past 12 years, Jim worked for the Barry-Wehmiller Company in the HayssenSandiacre Division based in Duncan, S.C. as a remote Account Executive/Product Support Manager for their Aftermarket Sales Team. In 2000 he received the Remote Salesman of the Year Award for outstanding sales and service. He was a 2010 Guiding Principles of Leadership SSR nominee for his impact upon the lives around him through his skills of leadership and guidance. Jim was also a Finalist for the 2011 Chris Larsen MVP Award; which is provided to individuals who present the highest standards of character, leadership and integrity; while contributing to the lives of their customers, colleagues and communities at large. Jim was an extremely beloved son, brother and a friend to countless people. Survivors include, his mother, Katherine Heisler and his brother, Jeff Heisler, both of Las Vegas, NV. Funeral services will be at Noon on Monday, November 21, 2011 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Joy Nelson-Jeffers will officate.
