Isaiah M. Zamora Powell

Isaiah Michael Zamora Powell, 13, Wausau, died Friday February 27, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born March 26, 2001 in Wausau, son of Shannon (Powell) Perez, Wausau and Jose Antonio Zamora Vasquez. Isaiah was an eighth grade student at Horace Mann Middle School, Wausau, where he was known as a 'fun guy" and enjoyed his Principal, Josh Ernst. He enjoyed Basketball, the Chicago Bulls and being a rapper. With a smile to melt your heart, he also enjoyed singing, dancing and cooking. His dream was to one day be a Chef or a basketball player. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Shannon and Mauricio Perez, Wausau, five siblings, Autumn, Alexis, Nathaniel, Selena and Mauricio Jr.; grandparents, Sherry and Timothy Kiper, Antigo; great grandparents, Elizabeth Drake, Antigo, Betty Black, Jeffersonville, Ind., Gwendella Powell, Jeffersonville, Ind.;aunts and uncles, Chrystal (Facundo) Lopez, Ricky Powell, Amber Powell, Zachary Kiper, Whitney Kiper, Dakota Kiper, Eustorgio Cano-Morales, along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents and great grandparents, Ricky Powell, Richard Powell Sr., Richard Earl Drake, Emmalee & Paul McCurry, Timmy McCurry and Mary Powell. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday March 6, 2015, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral Home.
