Hermina Irene Jaeger

Hermina Irene Jaeger, 101, Rothschild, died Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born November 10, 1915 in St. Cloud, Minn., daughter of the late John and Johanna (Schaeffer) Siegmund. On July 3, 1948, she married Raymond Jaeger at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death on October 14, 1981. In her younger years, Hermina worked as a housekeeper, at Marathon Battery and also as a retail clerk at Winkelman's and Johnson Hills. She volunteered at the Salvation Army for over 20 years and enjoyed her role as a Girl Scout Leader. Hermina was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and was involved in many church activities. She was a member of the Rosary Society and the PCCW for many years. Survivors include, her daughter, Hermina Mary Jaeger, Rothschild; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Ray, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Adeline Staszak, LeRoy Siegmund and Marcella Choronzak. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. James Schaefer will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a rosary service at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Hermina's daughter wishes to extend a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers that took such good care of her mom.
