Helen J. Heisler
99, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Health Care & Rehab of Sanford, Florida.
She was born November 18, 1907 in the town of Maine, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Etzler) Koppa. In 1931 she married Alfred A. Giese who was a well known organist in Wausau and the surrounding area. He preceded her in death in 1979. In 1981 she married Arthur P. Heisler at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Lake Tomahawk. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Helen was a homemaker, member of the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ and also a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post No. 388, Wausau.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Sheila Koppa, Wausau, nieces, nephews and her caregiver, Jean Jones, Florida.
Besdies her parents and husbands, Helen was preceded in death by seven brothers, Ed, Jim, Joe, Walt, Leslie, Jack and Albert Koppa, two sisters, Margaret Wood and Mary Gerum.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
