Hazel J. Sandquist
89, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, September 30, 2004.
She was born April 1, 1915 , daughter of the late Louis and Emma (Erickson) Larson. On May 24, 1941, she married Marvin J. Sandquist. He preceded her in death.
Church played an important role in Hazel's life. Her greatest accomplishments were that of being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
A former resident of City Walk Apartments, Hazel enjoyed playing cards, embroidery, walking, lunch with friends and collecting angels.
Survivors include her son, Roger (Karen) Sandquist, Wausau; daughter, Karen (John) Brantner, Montgomery, Ala.; son, Lyle (Sherry) Sandquist, Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; daughter, Rose Brubaker, Wausau; brother, Henry (Carol) Larson, Rib Mountain; grandchildren, Lisa (Todd) Matejka, Tara (Tim) Janda, Melissa and Megan Alsteen and David Brantner; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Daley Matejka, David Brostowitz, Johnathon Alsteen, Ariel and Kathryn Janda.
Funeral services will be Noon Saturday October 2, 2004 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seventh and Adams Streets, Wausau. Rev. Greg Billberg will officiate. Burial will be in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, town of Easton. Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
