Gaylord J. Nienow

Gaylord J. Nienow, 79, Irma, died Monday, May 27, 2013 at his home. He was born January 31, 1934 in the town of Easton, son of the late John W. and Erlynda (Krueger) Nienow. Gaylord was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Germany. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Burns Post No. 388, Wausau. For many years, he worked for the former Nicholas Enterprises in Irma until his retirement. Survivors include, one sister, Virginia Ermeling, Wausau; one brother, Clarence (Elaine) Nienow, Wausau; one sister-in-law, Gretchen Nienow, town of Hewitt; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John A. Nienow; and three sisters, LaVerne Erickson, Joyce Nienow and Mary Ann Wertanen. Memorial services will be at Noon on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, with full military honors conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post No. 388, Wausau. Rev. David Faulkner will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be on Monday at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
