Eugenia M. Zajackowski

Eugenia M. Zajackowski 85, Wausau, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Sylvan Crossings, Wausau. She was born November 2, 1925 in the town of Elderon, daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Kosidowski) Kiedrowicz. On April 30, 1946, she married Matthew C. Zajackowski at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1996. Throughout her life, Eugenia lived in Milwaukee, Hatley, Gleason, Merrill and Wausau. She worked on the family dairy farm and was also a homemaker. Among her favorite pastimes, Eugenia enjoyed family events and gatherings, playing cards, gardening, flowers, dogs and birds. She had a green thumb and was known for her homemade noodles and pierogi. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. Eugenia loved praying the rosary, whether it was alone or with a group. Survivors include, five children, James (Darlene Jensen) Zajackowski, Wausau, Greg (Mary Ann Mizwinski) Zajackowski, Wausau, Arthur Zajackowski, Marathon, Cynthia Zajackowski, Hatley and Connie (Dennis) Kaufmann, Birnamwood; eight grandchildren, Julie (Ken) Kremsreiter, Kevin (Missy) Zajackowski, Robert (Penney) Zajackowski, Cheryl Sann, Brian (Dana) Zajackowski, Jesse and Justin Zajackowski and Courtney Kaufmann; 13 great grandchildren, Stacey, Cassy Jo, Ashley (Jason) Raasch, Abby, Alissa, Jenny, Savannah, Keagan, Desiree, Colton, Maddie, Breanna and Danon; and one great great grandchild, Breleigh. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon Saturday, February 26, 2011 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a rosary service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. The family of Eugenia wishes to thank all the caregivers at Sylvan Crossings on Evergreen for their love, care, support and kindness shown to "Busha" for the past 5 1/2 years of her residence there.
