Edna M. Boerke

Edna M. Boerke 95, Wausau, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Sylvan Crossing, Wausau. She was born November 7, 1916 in Wausau, daughter of the late Hilmer and Odila (Kieffer) Boerke. Edna worked at Wilson Hurd for 46 years. As a young lady she played the organ, and took many trips. She loved music, taking walks and playing cards. Survivors include her sister, Angeline (Eugene) Kumbera, Wausau; sister-in-law, Barbara Boerke, Madison and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, George, Hilmer Jr. and James Boerke and sisters, Imogene Boerke and Theresa Griffin. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wausau.
