Duaine J. Pizl

Duaine J. Pizl, 85, Kronenwetter, formerly of Antigo died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born August 1, 1931 in Antigo, son of the late Joseph and Gladys (Higgins) Pizl. On June 9, 1951 he married Betty Olsen in Antigo. She survives. Duaine was a heavy equipment operator for the Langlade County Highway Department for many years. Survivors include his wife Betty Pizl, Kronenwetter, his children, Linda (William) Bird and Kathy O'Brien, both of Germantown, his grandchildren, Joseph and Catalina Bird, Jolene (Billy) Cannestra and Ryan (Elizabeth) Bula, seven great grandsons and his siblings, Yvonne (Lloyd) Svacina, Knowlton, Mona (Robert) Schwartz, Schofield and Vickie (Wencel) Husnick, Antigo and nieces and nephews. Besides his parent he was preceded in death by one sister, Donna DeBroux. Private family services were held at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau.
