Dorothy M. Schneider

Dorothy M. Schneider 79, 2901 N. 7th Street, Wausau, died Saturday August 24, 2002 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born May 15, 1923 in Evanston, Illinois, daughter of the late Henry and Julia (Straub) Happ. On May 7, 1949 she married Ervin Schneider in Wilmette, Illinois. He survives. The Schneiders moved to Marathon, Wisconsin from Northfield, Illinois in 1965 and to Wausau in 1996. Dorothy was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Ervin Schneider, Wausau, five daughters, Carol (Paul Hartkopf) Schneider, Wausau, Jean Schneider, Christchurch, New Zealand, Phyllis (Mark) Burclaff, Wausau, Ruth (Greg) Seubert, Wausau, Martha (Ron) Nowicki, Athens, five sons, Steven (Patti) Schneider, Weston, Walter (Denise) Schneider, Eau Claire, Richard (Janet) Schneider, Marathon, David Schneider, Wausau, Ken (Michele) Schneider, Wausau, 22 grandchildren, Andrea, Matthew, Michael, Sarah Marie, Brian, Sarah Lynn, Daniel, Jacob Schneider; Tony Polzin, Julie (Polzin) Gasper; Shannon, Maria Hartkopf; Paul, Scott, Philip, Joseph Burclaff; Allison, Laura, Thomas Seubert; Elizabeth, Rebecca, Emily Nowicki; one great-grandchild, Dylan Richmond, five sisters, Louise Schwall, Northbrook, Illinois, Therese Anne (Frank) Selzer, Morton Grove, Illinois, Rosalie Happ, Glenview, Illinois, Marilyn Wade, Mount Prospect, Illinois, Irene (Allan) Homberger, Northbrook, Illinois, one brother, Robert (Nancy) Happ, Highland Park, Illinois, many nieces and nephews. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 28, 2002 at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. Stephen Gross will preside. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Resurrection Catholic Church, St. Anthony Retreat Center, Marathon or Forest Park Village.
