Donald R. Jacobson

Donald "Jake" R. Jacobson 76, Wausau, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Marywood Center, Wausau. He was born November 4, 1936 in Dodgeville, Wis., son of the late Jesse and Dorothy (Ferrell) Jacobson. Jake was a veteran of the United States Army and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8895, Schofield and a lifetime member of the AMVETS. Survivors include, his wife, Sharon Jacobson, Wausau; his children, Scott (Cathie) Jacobson, Gary (Debbie) Jacobson, Caprice "Cappy" (Andy) Miller, Todd (Jody) Jacobson, Tracy (Doug) Cropp, Jason (Shannon) Jacobson and Jill Jacobson; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Ross Hewitt; and three siblings, Duane, Marcella and Joanne. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Alan Burkhardt will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
