Delores Prochnow

Delores Prochnow, 70, 910 S. 13th Avenue, Wausau, died Friday, September 5, 2003, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services Wausau Hospital. She was born September 30, 1932, in Wausau, daughter of the late Marcus and Edna (Hoerter) Viergutz. On June 11, 1955 she married Franklin Prochnow in Wausau. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1996. Delores was an active member and volunteer with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post #388, and the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post #10, Wausau. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandson. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (James) Riehle, Weston, and their children, Jeremy and Jamie Riehle; Sharon (Randy) Tesch, Weston, and their children Joey (Jill Spicer) Tesch, Adam (Dana Myszka) Tesch, and Amanda Tesch; one son, Michael (Shelly) Prochnow, Wausau, and their daughter, Cassie Prochnow; one great grandson, Dakota Tesch; two sisters, Verna Peter, Wausau, Beverly (Donnie) Jackson, Rothschild; two brothers, Wayne (Marge) Viergutz, Wausau, and John (Barb) Viergutz, Mosinee; one brother-in-law, Donald (Carol) Prochnow, Wausau; and one sister-in-law, Jeanette Prochnow, Campbellsport. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Alfred Prochnow. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wausau. The Rev. Donald E. Baumann will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street Wausau, and again Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a VFW Auxiliary Memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the sixth street funeral home.
