Dawson Paul Kreager

Dawson Paul Kreager, 10 months and 16 days, 3361 Partridge Lane, Marathon, died Sunday, April 14, 2002, at Children's Hospital, Milwaukee, after a long and courageous battle with Histiocytosis X, a rare blood disease which effects only one out of every 200,000 people. Dawson was born May 29, 2001, in Wausau, the son of Keith and Julianne (Durst) Kreager. Besides his parents he is survived by; one brother, Landon Kreager, Marathon; maternal grandparents, Randolph & Patricia Durst, Wausau; paternal grandparents, Roger & Gloria Kreager, Marathon; maternal great-grandparents, James Durst, Marshfield, Violet Gresens, Marathon; paternal great-grandparents, Milton Kreager, Wausau, Betty Blaubach, Athens; aunts, Vickie Kreager, Marathon, Jennifer (Scott) Longdo, Marathon; uncles, Ryan Kreager, Marathon, Jonathon (Kari) Durst, Wausau; cousins, BreAnn, ShyAnn, Dakota, Mackenzie, Kailey, Kaleb. Dawson was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Helen Kreager, Elroy Blaubach, Dorothy Durst and Walter Gresens. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2002 at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marathon. The Rev. Jon W. Hadler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m., Wednesday, and again from 9 a.m., Thursday, until the time of services all at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon, is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Dawson P. Kreager Benefit, which is being held 11:30 a.m., Sunday, April 21, 2002, at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marathon.
