Cynthia (Mott) Whitaker
30, 1247 Elm Street, Wausau, died Saturday October 25, 2003 as the result of a traffic accident.
She was born April 7, 1973 in Batavia, New York, daughter of Rev. James and Meribeth (Brown) Mott. On February 14, 1999 she married Brian Whitaker in Dallas, PA.
Cynthia graduated from Twin Tiers Baptist High School, Breesport, NY and Mansfield University, Mansfield, PA. She was a special education teacher in New York and Virginia and enjoyed music, especially playing the piano and violin. Cynthia was an involved member of Highland Community Church, Wausau.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Brian Whitaker, Wausau, two children, Kathryn Grace Whitaker, age 3 1/2 and Alexander Scott Whitaker, age 1 1/2, her parents, Rev. James and Meribeth (Brown) Mott, Elmira, New York; one brother, Timothy (Kim) Mott, Rowlett, Tex.; three sisters, Sharon (Donald) Baker, Millerton, Penn.; Judith (John) Mock, Rowlett, Tex.; Lynette (James) Bryan, Johnson City, New York; a grandmother, Anna Brown, Horseheads, New York, ten nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Weds. October 29, 2003 at Highland Community Church, Wausau. Rev. Jeff Hinds will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Weds. from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for Kathryn and Alexander Whitaker, c/o Highland Community Church, 1005 N. 28th Ave., Wausau, WI 54401.
