Brittany Harris

Brittany "Brit" M. Harris, 18, Wausau, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. She was born October 12, 1993 in Marshfield, daughter of William and Susan (Schill) Harris. Brittany attended Wausau West High School where she was a member of the Woman's Choir and had a general love for music. She enjoyed hanging out and talking non-stop with friends. Brit had a contagious smile and shining personality that others were drawn toward. Some of her hobbies included taking walks around the neighborhood, participating in Special Olympics and winning many medals, vacationing and gardening with her family and visiting friends and family. Brittany was beloved by her younger brother, Dylan and has been his playmate on games and not only a sister but a friend as well. She was enthusiastic about time spent with her best friend making cookies and time with her boyfriend just walking around the mall or watching movies. Survivors include her parents, William and Susan Harris, Wausau; brother, Dylan Harris, Wausau, grandparents, Jasper Deckman, King, Esther Smith, Tomahawk, LeRoy (Cheryl) Schill, Mosinee, Martha Schill, Gile; aunts and uncles, Lee (Tracy) Schill, Sally (Al) Betts, Nicholas Schill, Noah Schill, Natalie Schill; niece, Samantha Schill, and canine companion, Majik. She was preceded in death by a cousin, Becky. Memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Rev. Joy Nelson-Jeffers will officiate. Friends may call Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of services all at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.
