Bernard E. Adamski, 85, 322 N. Sixth Avenue, Wausau, died Monday, November 3, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
He was born October 28, 1918 in Dancy, son of the late John and Rose (Rice) Adamski. On November 27, 1948 he married Mary Jane Cherek at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. She survives.
Bernard was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post No. 388, Wausau and the Disabled American Veterans. He was the owner of Adamski Sanitation, Wausau until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife Mary Jane Adamski, Wausau; two sons, Dr. Gary (Char Atwood) Adamski, Beloit, Duane (Karen) Adamski, Fox Lake, Ill.; four grandchildren, Beth, Andy, Laura and Annie; and one brother, Peter (Clara) Adamski, Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Alex, Harry, Walter and Stanley Adamski, and one sister, Mary Filtz.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2003 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau, where full military honors will be conducted by members of the VFW. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
