Barbara A. Ohrmundt

Barbara A. Ohrmundt 57, Wausau, died Thursday, April 14, 2005 at the Hospice House, Wausau after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 24, 1947 in Wausau, daughter of the late Arthur and Regina (Burek) Schuetze. Barbara was employed as a unit clerk at Wausau Hospital for 24 years. She enjoyed golfing, reading, traveling and crossword puzzles. Special to her was her hole-in-one at the Rib Mountain Golf Course in 2003. Her daughters and grandchildren will always cherish the time they spent with her. Survivors include two daughters, Nicole (Peter) Knutson, Greenville, and Kendra (Brad) Drews, Wausau; five grandchildren, Courtney, Tanner, Carter, Bryce and Maddie; a brother, Arthur (Bonnie) Schuetze, Florida; a sister, Janet (Terry) Werner, Florida and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is further survived by a special friend, Richard "Duke" Ellingson, Wisconsin Rapids. A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services at the Stewart Avenue funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. The family would like to extent their appreciation to the staff and volunteers at the Hospice House, Wausau for the loving care given to Barbara during her stay. They would also like to say thank you to Dr. Rezazadah and Dr. Barton for their encouragement and support during her illness. God saw she was getting tired And a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around her And whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes We watched her suffer And saw her fade away, Although we loved her dearly We could not make her stay.
