Arlene T. Parham

Arlene T. Parham 61, Wausau passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2002 with her husband Paul at her side under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services, Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born September 19, 1940 in Chicago, daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor Fritz. On August 18, 1988, she married Paul Parham in Chicago. He survives. Arlene was a legal secretary for many years until becoming a caregiver for her son, Jerome. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, feeding birds and playing piano. Arlene was very generous person to anyone who needed help. She was a loving, caring and forgiving wife, mother and grandmother. Her favorite saying was, "the grandchildren were the angels in her pocket." Besides her husband, Paul; she is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Chad) Williams, Wausau and Vicki (Robert) Kleinick, Oak Lawn, Ill; one son, Thomas Somers, Chicago; four grandchildren, Amanda and Matthew Somers, Krystle Williams and Zak Engstrom; four sisters, Jean (Dan) Siemek, Margie (Ron) Maliska, Nancy (Bud) Carey and Rita See all of Chicago; two brothers, Patrick (Diane) Fritz and Mr. & Mrs. Charlie Fritz all of Chicago. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jerome Somers; three grandchildren, Carl, Andrew and Nicole Elston; three sisters, Noreen, Patricia and Mary Lou. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2002 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau. Rev. Shawn Craigmiles will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of services at the 6th St. funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Comfort Care & Hospice Services.
