Anna H. Weiler

Anna H. Weiler 90, formerly of Athens died Sunday, September 2, 2001 at Continental Manor, Abbotsford. She was born March 5, 1911 in Athens, daughter of the late Julius and Caroline (Duerr) Post. On October 28, 1931, she married Sabastian "Bud" Weiler at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. He died January 23, 1987. Anna was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, baking but most especially she enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include 6 daughters, Delores (Harold) Westfall, Anita (Leonard) Becker, Shirley (Ronald) Zenner and Patricia Piwoni all of Athens, Dianne (Ronald) Grosskreutz, Evans, Colorado and Brenda (Dale) Dassow, Broomfield, Colorado; 3 sons, Elroy (Mary) Weiler, Abbotsford, Donald (Alice) Weiler and Virgil (Judy) Weiler all of Athens; 39 grandchildren; 83 great grandchildren; 30 great great grandchildren and 6 step great great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 grand daughter, Loralyn Weiler; 2 sisters, Sophia Weiler and Frieda Sommer; 2 brothers, Walter Post and Ervin Post, son-in-law, Edwin Piwoni. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2001 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be rosary services at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Athens funeral home.
