Angeline “Angie” V. Hameister, 94, Wausau, died August 21, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Angie was born December 26, 1923 to the late Frank and Hattie (DeBroux) Verhasselt in Phlox, WI. She married Robert Hameister on May 23, 1943 in Tullahomoma, TN. He preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 2002.
For many years, Angie had volunteered at Aspirus Wausau Hospital and Regional Cancer Center. She also volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister, something she truly enjoyed. She took pride in her husband’s service to our country and so was a member and past-president of the VFW Burns Post #388 Women’s Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Judith (Donald) Klotz, Burlington, Daniel Hameister, Milwaukee and Constance (Richard) Rindfleisch, Kronenwetter; many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Robert Jr. and Brian.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 25, 2018 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Tom Lindner will preside. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for a donation to the Church of St. Anne.
