Peng Thao

Peng Thao, age 37, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born June 21, 1981 in Wausau, Wisconsin, to Su Ying and Mai Lee Thao.

Throughout Peng’s life she was a member at First Hmong Missionary Alliance. During her teen years, she was a Sunday School teacher and the treasurer for her youth group. Peng worked at BMO Harris Bank in Rothschild for 15 years and currently was employed at People State Bank in Wausau as an operation specialist supervisor.

Some of her favorite pastimes included writing fiction stories, reading, watching Korean TV dramas and cooking. She also enjoyed traveling, attending concerts and loved spending time with family. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister and aunt and will be deeply missed.

Peng is survived by her parents, Su Ying and Mai Lee Thao, Wausau, her siblings, Chong (Pang) Thao, Weston, Mao Thao, Wausau, Mang (Yer) Lee, Wausau, Ching Thao, Wausau and Xeng Thao, Wausau. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 10th from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 11th from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Funeral services will be on Monday at 9:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Friedenshain Cemetery, town of Berlin, WI.
