Iris S. (Westfall) Schreiner

Iris S. Schreiner, 89, Athens, died Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Palliative Care. Iris was born to the late Andrew and Sophia (Greiner) Westfall in the township of Halsey. She married Frank Schreiner on January 29, 1949 in Athens. Together they owned and operated their family farm for many years. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2018.

Survivors include her four daughters, Kathleen (Raymond) Kremsreiter, Angela (Schanon) Frahm, Marilyn (Keith Hakalla) Nuernberger and Barbara Schreiner; three sons, Robert (Brenda) Schreiner, Frank Schreiner and Rodney (Margaret) Schreiner; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Lucinda Nehrbass and Marcella Scheithauer; and a brother, Donald (Marlene) Westfall. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Marvin, Gordon, Harold, Ralph and Kenneth; and three sisters, Clara, Laverna and Myrtle.

A Private family service will be held. Burial will be at the Athens Village Cemetery. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens is in charge of arrangements.
